BIOPROJET
a multidisciplinary, modern,
and human-scale research center

Bioprojet Biotech, Bioprojet’s research center, brings together a team of scientists and technicians who master all aspects of preclinical research, from the identification of new therapeutic targets and the development of original chemical molecules to the stages preceding clinical development. The research center’s teams also contribute to clinical development, pharmaceutical development, and regulatory affairs activities.

The innovation strategy aims to discover original medicines (first-in-class and best-in-class) that address unmet therapeutic needs, mainly in the fields of neurology and immunology. It relies on close synergy between chemists, biologists, pharmacists, and pharmacologists to develop and optimize molecules that interact with innovative therapeutic targets, including G protein-coupled receptors.

The research center is composed of four scientific units :

1

BIOCHEMISTRY / MOLECULAR BIOLOGY :

Identification of new targets, screening, and in vitro characterization of the biological activities of molecules.

2

THERAPEUTIC CHEMISTRY :

Design and multi-parametric optimization of molecules through molecular modeling and analysis of experimental data, synthesis of these molecules, and preparation for the transition to an industrial process for drug candidates.

3

PHARMACOLOGY :

Evaluation of therapeutic potential, and management of toxicology and safety pharmacology studies.

4

PHARMACOKINETICS / BIOANALYSIS :

Characterization of the pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and drug–drug interactions of drug candidates.

Performance of regulatory bioanalysis (GLP ANSM level A certification) from preclinical to clinical stages. Management of toxicology, ADME, and biopharmaceutical studies.

A new research center, created to boost scientific innovation, will mark a major milestone in the development of advanced medical solutions. Indeed, Bioprojet will leave its Saint-Grégoire research facility to move into a new center that meets the highest technical, scientific, and environmental standards and will accommodate up to 100 researchers. Construction began in the first quarter of 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

This ambitious project reflects Bioprojet’s determination to continue driving innovation and developing treatments to meet unmet medical needs.
